A new multilingual webinar for journalists reporting on the COVID-19 pandemic is just around the corner.

Young women leaders in the media, among other sectors, can apply for this program.

Photos depicting African wildlife, landscapes or culture are invited from professional and amateur photographers. Winners will receive cash prizes and participate in the photographic safari in Botswana. Entries open on 1 January 2021 and close at midnight on 31st May 2021. June is set aside for final judging and the winners will be announced in early July 2021.

The Fund for Investigative Journalism provides grants and other support for reporters to produce high-quality, unbiased, nonpartisan investigative stories that have an impact.
Freelance journalists, staff reporters and media outlets are eligible for grants, and their investigations can be for print, online or broadcast stories, books, documentaries or podcasts.
We provide three types of grants:

Shutterstock has launched The Create Fund to support photojournalists, videographers, illustrators, 3D artists and writers focused on diversity, inclusion, social justice and environmental awareness.

Free Press Unlimited is providing a COVID-19 emergency fund for media professionals and organisations in Africa faced with emergency due to COVID-19. Support includes protection materials, psycho-social support, legal assistance, and security measures. 

Aspiring media managers can apply for a scholarship to take this online course.

Print and online journalists worldwide can apply for an award.
