Hajj: Sokoto mulls family planning packages for female intending pilgrims

Sokoto state government may introduce family planning packages to the female intending pilgrims because of the suffering pregnant women go through during Hajj exercise.
Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal disclosed this at the inauguration of the newly elected officials  of the Medical Women Association of Nigeria, Sokoto state branch.
 
Tambuwal who was represented by the Commissioner of Health, Dr. Balarabe Kakale said this was  to allow women perform the religious rites while in the holy Land without any hitch.
 

Richest women in Lagos use more family planning than the poorest - Survey

The richest women in Lagos state were more likely than their poorest counterparts to report using a family planning method. This is a finding from a recent survey by the Performance Monitoring and Accountability 2020-Nigeria (PMA2020-NG) research team and holds true for both modern methods [pills, condoms, injectables, intrauterine devices (IUDs) and implants] and traditional methods (withdrawal and periodic abstinence).
