Kaduna to partner CSO to mobilise women against malnutrition

The Kaduna State Government said on Wednesday that it would partner the Civil Society Scaling-Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN) to mobilise women against malnutrition in the state.
The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Hafsat Baba, said this when Mr Silas Ideva, CS-SUNN Coordinator and other members of the organisation visited her in her office in Kaduna.
Baba said that the ministry was very strategic in mobilising women and children, particularly as its affects their welfare and survival.

Gov’t to commit N100m to child spacing services

Dr Hadiza Balarabe, Executive Secretary, Kaduna State Primary Healthcare Development Agency has assured women in the state of a “truly free access” to child spacing services with effect from July.
 
Balarabe gave the assurance in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Zaria, Kaduna State on Monday.
 
She spoke on the sideline of a three-day workshop on costed implementation plan for child spacing organised by Palladium and Pathfinder International to promote child spacing in the state.

Kaduna State government has budgeted over #100 million to ensure safe methods of child spacing with almost all the necessary commodities provided free in all facilities in the state.
 
The worthy investment is all geared to save mothers and babies through the partnership of the Kaduna State government and partners.
 

Family Planning Gaining Acceptance In Kaduna, Nigeria

Kaduna State government in northern Nigeria, in collaboration with Nigerian Urban Reproductive Health Initiative (NURHI), have introduced programmes aimed at ensuring people in the state fully understand and embrace family planning.
 
This has resulted in the training and sensitization of relevant stakeholders in different fora towards appreciating the benefits and importance that goes with child birth spacing to the individual,  the family, the community and the society at large.
