The Federal Government yesterday launched the Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, Adolescent and Elderly Health Plus Nutrition (RMNCAEH+N), a multi-Stakeholder Partnership Platform geared towards the achievement of Universal Health Coverage (UHC), especially for women, children and the elderly.

Meanwhile, the country’s maternal mortality remains one of the highest in the world with 576 deaths per 100,000 live births according to Nigeria Demographic Health Survey (NDHS, 2013).

Abuja, June 15 (IANS/MAP) The Nigerian has called on states and healthcare agencies to redouble their efforts on reducing maternal and infant mortality in the country.
National Primary Health Care Development Agency's Executive Director Faisal Shuaib said on Thursday that whatever primary healthcare agencies were doing in their states was not working.
