DEVCOMS, Christian Aid Nigeria increase Good Governance media awareness

As the Nigeria gears up to celebrate another independence aniiversary in October, Development Communications (DEVCOMS) Network and Christian Aid Nigeria, (CAID) has organized a 3-day workshop for community members, media and development partners to demand accountability and good governance from the duty bearers and other authorities.
 
The workshop, based on the core areas CAID operates iin Kaduna and South-East states in the country, drew attention of the media gatekeepers to increase demand of accountability in girl-child education, early marrriage and women empowerment for Nigeria while also making the people take charge of the development of their communities.
 
The workshop which happened in Enugu include investigative field trips to communities of Juji, Madamai, Chikun communities in Kaduna and Lokpanta, Oji River and Etiti Ozala communities in Enugu state.
 
The South-East states include Anambra, Ebonyi, Abia, Imo and Enugu states.
