DEVCOMS, Christian AID Nigeria engage CSO, Development partners, media on good governance and girl-child education

Development Communications (DEVCOMS) and Christian AID Nigeria have become iinvolved in the need of driving awareness on good governance and girl-child education in the Northern and Sout-East region of the country through engagement with the media, civil societies organizations and development partners.

At the training workshop of Christain AID Nigeria, supported by DEVCOMS, the participants were enjoined to utilize all resources available in the quest to make girl-child education a priority in climes where such are not encouraged.

The project, headlined by Voice to the People (V2P) and Collective Action for Adolescent Girls Initiative (CAAGI), has three prong-aims which are early marriage, lack of access to education and economic empowerment for adolescent girls. While the V2P also promote accountability and address issues of development by empowering citizens to influence decision making around policy and service delivery, and to hold leaders to account for the provision of improved public services for all, including excluded groups.
