100 Journalists devise strategies to engage public on Nutrition, Water and Rural development
About 100 Journalists at the second Creating Shared Value (CSV) Media Workshop have strategized ways of tackling inadequate public awareness about nutrition, water and rural development challenges and opportunities in Nigeria.
The journalists having participated in the two-day workshop which commenced on June 19 at Darlington hall, Ilupeju, Lagos came up with story ideas that will help them relate relevant societal challenges to nutrition, water, rural development and environmental sustainability related issues.
It was gathered that exclusive breastfeeding is the foundation of life every human being and could have effect on academic performance of individuals. Another group maintain that scarcity of water is synonymous to starving in the midst of abundance.
Other groups intend to tackle impact of climate change on food production and poor habit of toilet use which have tendencies to contaminate water and the environment.
CSV media workshop is organised by Nestle Nigeria Plc in collaboration with Development Communications (DevComs) Network.
