Journalists ages 35 and younger from developing countries can apply for a chance to cover the annual U.N. Conference of Parties (COP21) in Paris.

The United Nations Development Programme Office (UNDP) in Geneva is accepting entries for the contest #Voices2Paris, which gives young journalists an opportunity to contribute to the global debate on climate change in the run-up to COP21, while building their capacity and providing recognition for excellence.

Authors of the top two stories will be funded to attend and cover the U.N. conference this December.

Applicants must submit a story featuring the impact of climate change in their country and/or solutions that are implemented to reduce emissions or adapt to climate change. Stories should be 600 to 1,000 words long and include at least five pictures embedded in the text.   

Entries can be submitted in English. Entries in French, Spanish, Arabic and Chinese are also accepted but should be accompanied by an English-language translation.
