Family planning experts advocate husband’s involvement on child spacing

Family planning experts in Nasarawa state, Monday, urged spouses to embrace family planning services.
They specifically emphasised the need for husbands to always support their wives in the practice.
Speaking during her presentation at a three-day workshop on family planning in Lafia, state coordinator, The Challenge Initiative (TCI) Dr. Deborah Hassan encouraged families, especially husbands to support their wives to access planning services to the good of their family and society in general.

The attitude of some husbands in Bauchi state constituted a threat to the well-being of their pregnant wives more than other challenges,  the Executive Chairman, Bauchi State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (BSPHCDA), Mr Adamu Gamawa said on Tuesday.
 
Briefing newsmen in Bauchi on the Maternal Newborn and Child Health Week (MNCHW), Gamawa said such husbands had prevented their pregnant wives from attending antenatal clinics (ANC).
