FG commits to reducing trial consultations in health sector

In a bid to reduce the burden of trial consultations in our tertiary/specialist health facilities, the Federal Government says it is committed to partner the West Africa College of Surgeons (WACS) on all fronts to deliver quality health to Nigerians.

 

Isaac Adewole, minister of health, said this at the commissioning of the WACS permanent secretariat, last week in Lagos.

 

Nigeria gets committees on healthcare

Nigeria has inaugurated the technical and steering committees to drive the process of improving quality healthcare for mothers, newborn and children.
 
The Minister of State for Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, inaugurated the steering and technical committees in Abuja.
 
The inauguration of the committees was in direct response for the admission of Nigeria into the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) network on quality healthcare for mothers, newborns and children.
 

FG, Bill Gate to reach 36% family planning contraceptive access in 2018

The Federal Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Millennium Development Goal Fund is set to reach 36 per cent access to family planning contraceptives in 2018.
 
The Reproductive Health Division headed by Dr Kayode Afolabi, made the disclosure on Tuesday during a Family Planning Watch final dissemination event in Abuja.
