Development Communications Network in collaboration with Project Enable Africa and DevComs Radio under its Employing of Young Persons with Disabilities program, recently held the graduation ceremony for the first cohort in the online radio production and packaging training as a contribution to the workplace and social inclusion of PWDs. The participants (People with Disabilities) were trained for two months, after which they were placed on 3months internship to enable them put into practice what they had learned and hone their skills.

In commemoration of World AIDS Day 2022, Development Communications Network (DEVCOM) has joined the United Nations program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) to seek support for people living with HIV. Celebrating World AIDS Day 2022 with the theme “equalize”, DEVCOMS explained that analysis by the United Nations reveals that inequalities are obstructing the end of AIDS. In a press release issued by the organization, it said "Earlier this year UNAIDS stated that the AIDS response is in danger with rising new infections and continuing deaths in any part of the world.

Communities in Zing, Taraba State, have embraced family planning with enthusiasm as a way to check family sizes in tune with current economic realities.
Mrs Roseline John Jella of the General Hospital Zing, who is the local government coordinator of family planning, said that there was a lot of awareness as a result of their outreach program and activities of some NGOs, that has triggered overwhelming interest from the locals.

Family planning: Nasarawa women advocate safe commodities to tackle bleeding

Some women in Nasarawa State have advocated for the production of safe family planning consumables that could ease days of bleeding for women that assessed family planning services. They also called for the training and retraining of family planning service providers to update their skills to better handle clients at family planning units.
