Nigeria Health Watch has announced a call for applications for the 2nd Prevent Epidemics Journalism Fellowship.

Nigeria Health Watch will award three fellowships to outstanding journalists with a passion for covering epidemic preparedness. Fellows will receive financial support for the 3-month period, to complete their reporting, as well as continued coaching and support accessing national and international data and contacts, among other benefits.

BIRN launches Investigative Fund

The Balkan Investigative Reporting Network is launching an Emergency media support fund to mitigate the effects of COVID-19 pandemic on journalists.

Through this fund we aim to increase cooperation between journalists in the region and their knowledge and skills through joint cooperation on cross-border investigative stories.

The stories should be original, evidence-based and rich in context, showing new or broader insights into the region.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Fund for Women Journalists program will no longer support projects or professional development opportunities with any travel component. We will focus on supporting reporting projects and professional development opportunities within the following parameters, until further notice:
· Expose under-reported local issues with critical global angles
· Undertake collaborative, ambitious reporting projects
· Pursue virtual skills training, develop expertise, and strengthen careers
