Development Communications Network in Collaboration with Nigerian Urban Reproductive Health Initiative organised 1-day orientation/sensitization for Journalists and Social Media Bloggers/ Influencers on Life Planning for Adolescents and Youth (LPAY) in Kaduna, Oyo and Lagos. 77 Journalists and 68 Influencers were trained on the concept of LPAY in the three sites. Life planning arms young people with positive life changing information that can help them make informed choices about critical issues in life and future.

A UK-based Nigerian doctor, Dr Harvey Olufunmilayo, has decried the huge number of Nigerian doctors seeking greener pastures abroad.
Olufunmilayo, who practises in Leeds, said about 1,000 Nigerian doctors passed the Plab1 exam in March 2018 to enable them practice in the UK.
The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) had in January 2018 said that there were 4,000 patients to one doctor in Nigeria, describing the trend as unacceptable.

Many who witnessed and heard about shocking sudden disappearance of a day old baby girl born to deaf parents, Hajiya Salamatu 28 and her husband, Mallam Kabir a welder through C-section at Yusuf Dantsoho Memorial Hospital, Tudun Wada, Kaduna North local government area of the State are still asking the question ‘how’ months after.
