Ministry Calls For Media Support On Youth And Adolescent Matters In Edo

The Adolescent and Youth Reproductive Health under Edo State Ministry of Health has called on media practitioners to increase their support for matters relating to youth, adolescent and reproductive health in the state.
Miss Omonye Adeseiye, State Adolescent Health Desk Officer of AYRH made the call during a media round table meeting organised by The Challenge Initiative (TCI) in Benin on Tuesday.

The Director public Kano state health Ministry of health Dr Imam wada Bello said the pandemic has affected alot of areas, the economy,causes distraction of health services and many more.

Zoom media roundtable on “Why Access to Contraception is Critical in Covid-19 Response” , organised by the Development Communications Network (DevComs) in Asaba.

Prof. Josiah muthir a family planning expert spoke as Guest Speaker, According to him, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, families are compelled to stay home, day and night, for periods of between one to 12 weeks depending on the country or state, hence facilitating intimacy.
