Anambra state government has warned Primary Health Care (PHC) centers in the state to desist from making financial demands from patients accessing family planning services in the facilities or be sanctioned.
The Commissioner of Health, Dr. Vincent Okpala gave the warning in Awka at a Media Roundtable on Family Planning organised by The Change Initiative, tagged, “Improving Access to Family Planning Services among Women of Reproductive Age in Anambra State”

The Adolescent and Youth Reproductive Health under Edo State Ministry of Health has called on media practitioners to increase their support for matters relating to youth, adolescent and reproductive health in the state.
Miss Omonye Adeseiye, State Adolescent Health Desk Officer of AYRH made the call during a media round table meeting organised by The Challenge Initiative (TCI) in Benin on Tuesday.

Some women in Nasarawa State have advocated for the production of safe family planning consumables that could ease days of bleeding for women that assessed family planning services. They also called for the training and retraining of family planning service providers to update their skills to better handle clients at family planning units.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has dared other Governors to reveal the identities of contractors handling projects in their various States.
Governor Wike threw the challenge during the commissioning of the Rumuekini-Aluu road in Obio-Akpor and Ikwerre Local government areas of the state.
He pledged to continue to patronize local contractors who deliver quality road projects for the Rivers State government.
Revealing the names of contractors handling road projects in Rivers State, Wike said governors give contracts to family members rather than prioritize quality.
